Part-Time Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Accountant to support our client’s financial operations. The role focuses on core accounting functions and requires a strong grasp of accounting principles, accuracy, and confidentiality. This position will be approximately 25 hours per week. This position is full onsite and will pay between $23 and $25/hr.

Duties:
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
  • Reconcile accounts payable and resolve discrepancies
  • Generate and send customer invoices
  • Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Record and reconcile accounts receivable transactions
  • Prepare and process payroll in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
  • Post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Support financial reporting and audit preparation
  • Use accounting software to manage daily transactions
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Prior non-profit experience is preferred but not required

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
