Our client, a leader in digital accessibility and assistive technology, is seeking a Part-Time Accessibility Software Tester (Braille & Screen Reader Proficiency) to join their team. As a Part-Time Accessibility Software Tester (Braille & Screen Reader Proficiency), you will be part of the Accessibility Testing Department supporting digital product development and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for inclusive technology, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
Conduct manual accessibility testing using screen readers and refreshable Braille displays to ensure digital content is accessible to all users.
Review and interpret embossed Braille documents as part of the testing process to verify accuracy and compliance.
Identify and document accessibility issues in web and software applications, providing clear and actionable feedback.
Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure adherence to accessibility standards such as WCAG.
Provide recommendations for improving user experience for individuals relying on assistive technologies.
What's Needed?
Proficiency in Braille reading, including embossed and refreshable Braille formats.
Hands-on experience with screen reader software such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, or TalkBack.
Familiarity with WCAG guidelines, ARIA roles, and accessibility testing tools.
Ability to test software without reliance on visual elements, using screen reader-only workflows.
Strong written communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with teams.
