Allied Universal in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to manage access control at a commercial real estate site. You will verify credentials, monitor entry points, and provide a welcoming presence for tenants, visitors, and staff while deterring unauthorized access.

Work schedule includes Tue/Wed/Sun 2:00 PM–10:00 PM with pay rate of $18.50 per hour. The role emphasizes customer service, calm incident response, and collaboration with the local security team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned commercial property areas, entry points, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Assist with maintaining a professional, welcoming presence while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting the orderly operation of the location.
