Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Talladega, AL. This role offers fixed shifts with an option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, designed to provide reliable hours and earning potential.

Pay rate is $14.34 per hour. Responsibilities include access control, patrolling, incident response, and visitor screening at a government correctional site. This position supports part-time schedules with potential to grow into full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Age requirement: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other individuals at a government correctional location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor screening and direction.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership.
