Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Access Control in Spokane, WA. This part-time role focuses on managing entry points, verifying credentials, and maintaining professional presence to deter security incidents.

You will monitor visitor activity, provide excellent customer service, and support a team culture built on integrity and collaboration. Schedule: Sat and Sun 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Pay: $18.73 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control access for vehicles, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with established site procedures and restricted-area requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
