Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Credential Screening Security Officer in WEST POINT, VA to safeguard clients across various industries. You will manage access points, document activities, and assist employees and visitors with a professional presence.

The role offers part-time hours with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour, aligning with site procedures and safety guidelines. Prior badge or access-control experience is favored, and a background check as well as a drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor and control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized individuals in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility entrances, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other assigned areas to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, or facility concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
