Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer in Spartanburg, SC. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors on a part-time schedule.

Responsibilities include patrolling areas, responding to incidents, and maintaining security procedures while supporting a collaborative team at construction sites and facilities.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while enforcing access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and keep access records accurate.
• Deter unauthorized access by observing activity, challenging individuals as needed, and reporting violations.
• Respond calmly to alarms and incidents per established emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points and perimeter areas; document observations and hazards.
