The University of Virginia, School of Medicine, seeks multiple academic Hospitalists to join a growing practice within UVA Health System. Teaching opportunities in our residency program and medical school are abundant, with rank and compensation contingent on qualifications and experience.

Traditional academic hospitalist position includes 182 shifts/year (prorated for FTE) with a mix of direct care and co-management; exempt-level, benefited position with strong clinical and educational focus.

Competenze

• MD or DO and board-certified/eligible in Internal Medicine by start date.
• Academic hospitalist track focusing on clinical care, quality and safety, and medical education.
• Prior hospital medicine experience preferred; research not required.
• Leadership opportunities in quality, operations, and education.

Mansioni

• Provide direct clinical care as part of a hospitalist team.
• Participate in co-management of orthopedic surgery and oncology patients.
• Engage in medical education of residents and medical students.
• Pursue quality and safety initiatives within UVA Health System.
