The Minneapolis VA Health Care System is seeking a part-time intermittent hospitalist and nephrologist in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role combines inpatient hospitalist duties with renal management responsibilities and academic teaching of trainees.

Qualified candidates should have board certification in Internal Medicine with substantial clinical experience and a background in teaching within an academic medical setting. A flexible schedule is possible to support patient care and education.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Internal Medicine is preferred.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience since residency.
• Experience in critical care medicine is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Hospitalist duties: admit and manage medical ward patients, co-manage non-medicine patients and triage.
• Renal duties: manage dialysis patients, renal consults and transplant care.
• Teach medical students and residents; participate in academic activities.
