Job summary

TASKids in Colonial Heights, VA is seeking a Part-Time Behavior Therapist to support children with autism. Hours: Tue-Fri 3:00 PM–6:00 PM, with a $500 sign-on bonus and pay range $20.00–$26.00 per hour.

The role involves providing behavioral therapy in home and clinic settings under BCBA/LBA supervision. Requirements include BA/BS with 6 months–1 year ABA experience, bilingual a plus, reliable transportation, and obtaining RBT certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Experience in autism, special needs, education, mental health, or ABA.
• BA/BS with 6 months–1 year ABA experience; BA/BS preferred in psychology, counseling, social work or related fields.
• Availability predominantly 3pm–6pm on multiple days per week; commit to 1 year.
• Strong clinical insight and critical thinking skills.
• Bilingual therapists highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Be energetic, engaging, and motivating for children and families.
• Provide skills training and behavioral therapy in home and clinic settings.
• Maintain accurate session notes and data collection.
• Offer feedback to parents under BCBA/LBA supervision.
• Collaborate with colleagues and schools as needed.
• Implement treatment plans under supervision and seek additional support.
