Our Child Therapy in Virginia is seeking a passionate Behavior Technician to deliver ABA services to children and families. You will implement behavior-based treatment plans, collect data, educate parents, and work closely with BCBA and the Clinical Director in home or school settings in Newport News, VA.

This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, paid training, and opportunities for professional development within a supportive team dedicated to helping children reach their potential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Experience with children and strong people skills
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
• Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred, but not required (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with children
• Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Clinical Director
• Conduct comprehensive data collection and maintain session reports
• Implement behavior-based treatment plans
• Educate parents on classroom support techniques
• Ensure safety and quality care for clients
• Establish professional relationships with parents, colleagues, and community resources
• Maintain training materials and supplies
• Advocate for children and families, facilitating referrals to community resources
