Job summary

Centerra Group is seeking a Part-Time Dispatcher to gather information, classify and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls, and coordinate firefighting, EMS, law enforcement and HazMat resources by answering 911 calls and directing personnel and equipment.

The role requires staying alert, effective communication under pressure, and liaison with public safety agencies and field personnel; candidates must meet various certifications and be able to operate dispatch software and radio systems.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Obtain Telecommunicator I & II and Hazardous Materials Awareness certifications.
• Maintain Advanced EMD certification with 24 CDE units.
• Maintain Healthcare CPR certification.
• Knowledge of emergency 911 communications operations.
• Knowledge of basic computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize incoming calls to ensure emergencies are handled first.
• Answer 911 calls and alert appropriate responders.
• Communicate situational awareness to responders.
• Dispatch appropriate vehicles and resources.
• Maintain contact with responders during incidents.
• Coordinate mutual aid and logistical support.
