Job summary

West Suburban YMCA in Newton, MA, seeks a part-time School Age Child Care van driver. Hours total 5–6 per week: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 2:30–3:30 pm and Wed 12:00–1:00 pm. Requires 7D license; CPR and First Aid certifications due within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certifications must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• 7D license is required to drive the van.
• Desire and ability to work with children.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.

Responsibilities

• Drives van safely according to YMCA policies and state laws.
• Performs before-and-after trip checks; records mileage, gas level, and maintenance.
• Keeps first aid supplies stocked and ready for emergencies.
• Fosters DEIB principles and supports equity and inclusion initiatives.
• Maintains van rules and creates positive relationships with staff, volunteers, parents, and children.
