Job description

Part-time Material Handler/Backup Forklift Operator

Shift: 2pm-6pm, Monday through Saturday (mandatory). May be asked to work on Sundays, which is also mandatory. May work a full shift when needed.

Safety shoes are required from day one without exceptions.

Required to have forklift operator experience. Must know how to operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts. No training will be provided; certification will be onsite. Will perform manual work and operate forklift only when necessary. Must have excellent attendance.

Basic duties include receiving materials from suppliers, following work instructions for repacking, and palletizing according to specified processes. Teamwork and employee-to-employee training are important. Candidates must be able to stand for 6-8 hours daily, have good hand-eye coordination, and follow instructions carefully.

• Use scanner to create repack labels
• Read part numbers and compare supplier part numbers to labels
• Be computer literate and operate AS400 system
• Stand in one place for extended periods
• Bend and twist repetitively during repacking
• Lift up to 30 pounds
• Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and organizing
• Work in hot conditions during summer and cold conditions in winter
