Summary

Floor Staff team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability, as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring our guests receive exceptional service. Floor Staff may be scheduled in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Employees must act as representatives of Regal, adhering to our mission and policies, including:

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Handling emergency situations when called upon
  • General cleaning duties
  • Compliance with dress code
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

for each position include, but are not limited to:

Box Office
  • Operating POS system, managing cash, credit cards, gift cards, and coupons accurately
  • Upselling Premium Viewing Experiences (3D, RPX, IMAX)
  • Promoting the Regal Crown Club program
  • Selling tickets according to MPAA ratings and company policy
  • Responding to guest inquiries professionally
Concession
  • Operating POS, handling cash and inventory
  • Promoting the Regal Crown Club
  • Preparing and cleaning concession equipment
  • Following food safety laws
  • Abiding by break and meal period laws
  • Ensuring alcohol certification where applicable
  • Reading and understanding training materials on harassment and discrimination
Usher
  • Tearing tickets, directing patrons, inspecting bags
  • Managing crowd control and assisting with seating
  • Enforcing MPAA ratings
  • Monitoring theatre environment and maintaining safety
  • Reporting issues to management
  • Performing concession sales and cleaning duties
Qualifications

Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Requirements include:

Education/Experience

Completion of cast certification and box office training or progress towards it. If selling alcohol, complete necessary state or local training and Regal Responsible Beverage Server training.

Language Ability

Good public speaking, listening, and responding skills.

Math Ability

Accurate calculations and error correction.

Reasoning Ability

Problem-solving, data gathering, evaluating information, and acting under pressure.

Personal Skills

Excellent communication, goal setting, time management.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, sitting; occasional lifting up to 60 pounds; vision requirements.

Compensation

Starting pay is $12.00 per hour.
