Job summary

NEXGEN Tooling is seeking a part-time cleaner for the 1st shift in Sanford, ME. The role runs approximately 24–30 hours per week, primarily Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, with duties including cleaning floors, windows, and walls, and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment.

You will disinfect desks and office common areas, restock bathrooms, and perform minor repairs as needed. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work with cleaning chemicals

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Stand for full shift; reach, bend, stoop and twist as needed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Wear PPE as required.
• Operate floor cleaning equipment (scrubbers, vacuums, carpet cleaners).
• Climb stairs.
• Work around cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior of buildings, floors, carpets, windows and walls using cleaning equipment.
• Disinfect desks, door handles, office tools and phones.
• Maintain cleaning inventory and notify when replacements are needed.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Monitor and refill bathroom supplies.
• Perform minor repairs like replacing floor tape, painting walls, changing bulbs, unclogging toilets.
• Assist with other tasks as needed by management.
