WRSD is seeking a Spanish Translator to provide translation services, both verbally and in print, to afford both the school and parents who communicate in Spanish opportunities to communicate by telephone, in writing, and in person.

Primary Duties

• Translation of any and all materials to be sent home to parents, correspondence from the families, and all documents.
• Interpret phone calls between staff members and parents.
• Attend and translate all meetings for Spanish consumers.
• Manage incoming calls and relay the message to the appropriate staff member including how and when to call back.

Requirements

• Appropriate certificate in interpreting/translation required.
• Knowledge of educational processes and nomenclature.
• Fluency in spoken Spanish and English.
• Ability to translate Spanish to English and English to Spanish verbally and in print.
• Knowledge of computer-based word processing systems.
