About the Position
This position is located within the Parole Board and plays an important role in ensuring eligible offenders are properly considered for parole. This is an administrative office position that supports the parole process through administrative analytical functions. The Parole Specialist III reviews the files of non-violent offenders to document whether they have met the requirements for presumptive parole. The position is also responsible for preparing comprehensive parole case summaries, which requires thorough research, careful review of records, and exceptional attention to detail. This is a professional, administrative role focused on reviewing records and preparing case information. The position does not involve direct interaction with offenders. This position will be responsible for reviewing legal and correctional records, researching relevant information, identifying important details, and ensuring case summaries are accurate, complete, and prepared in a timely manner. This position requires independent judgment, as well as working together as a team, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
