Job summary

Parkshore Madison Park, located in Seattle, is hiring a Server to support residents with meal selection, order taking, and dining service. The role includes presenting menus, relaying orders to kitchen, delivering meals, clearing tables, and assisting with light back‑of‑house duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meal selection and menu questions; relay orders to the kitchen.
• Present menu to residents and suggest choices; know ingredients and prep methods.
• Deliver food efficiently and assist residents as needed.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for the next meal service.
• Assist with light back‑of‑house/kitchen duties (salad bar, soup service, etc.).
• Assist with clearing tables and observing resident safety in dining areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This role pays $22 per hour DOE

Our Servers

• Assist residents with meal selection, including ordering from the menu, buffet/a‑la‑carte item selection, and assistance with any buffet stations (e.g., salad bar, breakfast bar) as needed
• Present menu to residents, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding meal choices; record orders and relay them to the kitchen production area; be knowledgeable about menu choices, including ingredients and preparation methods
• Work efficiently and quickly deliver food to residents, aiding them as needed
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for the next meal service
• Assist with light back‑of‑house/kitchen duties (including such tasks as salad bar, soup service, portion desserts, brew coffee or other services as needed)
• Assist with clearing tables
• Observe residents to ensure safety in our dining areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed

• At least 18 years of age
• Previous server experience highly preferred
• Six months or more in long‑term care, home care or related field preferred
• Software experience using POS (point‑of‑sale) transactional systems
• Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills
• Must pass a background check and pre‑employment drug screen; may need to complete other pre‑employment screenings such as physical, fingerprint, and TB test as required by state/local guidelines
