Job summary

Erie County Planning & Community Development is seeking a Parks and Recreation Coordinator to advance local and regional parks, trails, and recreation activities. The role directs multi-municipal recreation efforts and provides services under intergovernmental agreements, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 1 year of planning or parks experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Erie County Park, Trails, and Recreation Plan.
• Develop administrative procedures aligned with plan objectives and intergovernmental agreements.
• Provide technical assistance for administration, planning, marketing, improvement of recreational activities.
• Assist in development, review, and administration of Park and Recreation Programs.
• Make recommendations to encourage collaboration and sustainable growth of facilities and activities.
