The City of Peoria, Arizona is seeking a Seasonal Parks Laborer to assist in the maintenance and development of public grounds. This role involves general labor tasks, operating equipment, and ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of parks. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license. This seasonal position may lead to union affiliation after a specified period and offers benefits like sick leave.
Perform general labor tasks to contribute to the development and maintenance of City public grounds and moorage facilities. Work as part of a team to conduct routine maintenance and park development, including cleaning facilities, opening and closing parks, addressing customer concerns, collecting garbage, and maintaining natural areas.
Operate vehicles, equipment, and tools to complete assigned tasks, such as mowing, trimming, raking, watering, debris removal, and landscaping. Assist with equipment maintenance, setup, painting, and other duties as needed.
Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds, and walk, kneel, or bend for extended periods.
