City of Lancaster KY is seeking a Parks and Recreation Director to lead the department, develop strategic plans, manage programs and facilities. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and community engagement to build vibrant recreational offerings for residents.

Primary Responsibility
Experience
Any experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job. Must have good oral and written skills.
Typical Working Conditions
Work is generally performed outdoors with some office setting. Some travel and night meetings may be required. May be required to work extended hours as needed. Vacation time must be approved by the mayor and be taken at times when least interferes with scheduled activities.
Licensing
Must have valid driver’s license for the state of Kentucky.
Essential Job Functions
With or without accommodations, this employee must be physically capable of conversation and instruction with park patrons, employees, other county staff, and general public. Visually monitors staff and park patrons for appropriate actions. Be capable of walking on various type of terrain in all climate conditions. Will occasionally lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds.
