Job summary

Tooele City Corporation's Parks Maintenance Division is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker to keep our parks and facilities clean, beautiful, and safe. This full-time position supports city residents by performing grounds care, inspections, and seasonal maintenance tasks.

The role is physically demanding, involves operating landscaping and snow-removal equipment, driving, and working evenings or weekends for events like holidays. A driver license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license for at least 12 months and driving record acceptable to city risk management
• Safety-sensitive position; background checks required for applicants 18+

Responsibilities

• Maintaining parks and facilities including sprinkler systems, landscape maintenance, painting, repair, clean-up, inspection, and improvements
• Removing snow by hand and operation of equipment
• Conducting playground inspections
• Operating equipment such as commercial landscaping equipment, forklift, mini-excavator, snow removal equipment, chain saws, and similar equipment
• Operating an aerial lift and working at heights to install holiday decorations and street banners
• Towing trailers
• Enter confined spaces
