The City of Columbus is seeking a dedicated individual to supervise and participate in the maintenance of recreational and park grounds. This role involves overseeing a team, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining park facilities. Candidates should have experience in landscaping and hold necessary licenses. Under direction, is responsible for supervising and participating in the maintenance of recreational and park grounds; performs related duties as required.

The names of applicants passing this exam will be used to create a NEW, OPEN COMPETITIVE eligible list, replacing the current list. To be included, apply within the filing period and complete all testing phases. For questions, contact the Test Center at 614-645-7439.
The exam consists of a computerized test (85%) covering Supervision, Reading Comprehension, Problem Sensitivity, Parks Maintenance, Safety, Planning and Organizing, and Outlook 2016/2019; and a Pre-Trip exam (15%) on Equipment Safety Inspection of a Tractor Mower.
Approved applicants will be notified of their test date and time. All phases must be completed to receive a final score. Passing candidates will remain on the list for two years unless replaced or extended. Consideration for employment includes interviews, a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug test.
The certification process will be: Fixed Band.
