Gepark is seeking Park Maintenance Staff for seasonal work in Glen Ellyn, IL. Positions involve outdoor park maintenance with an 16–40 hour per week schedule through December 23, 2026, with hours Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm and flexible based on department needs.

Under supervision, you will handle mowing, trimming, mulching, athletic field help, tree trimming, event setup, trash and bathroom upkeep, and snow removal.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable with safety focus.
• Previous landscaping/maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ with valid IL Driver’s License.
• Familiarity with Glen Ellyn area is a plus.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

Park Maintenance Staff

Multiple Positions Available | Immediate Start

Hours: 16-40 hours/week (2-5 days/week) through December 23, 2026.

Schedules are flexible within Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, and will be based on employee availability and department needs.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent of Parks, Parks Foreman, and/or Crew Leader, Park Maintenance Staff will perform a variety of general park maintenance, including:

• Mowing, trimming, mulching
• Help with athletic fields
• Tree trimming
• Special event setup
• Trash and bathroom
• Snow removal

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

• The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative to achieve safe, clean, and well-maintained parks and facilities.
• Previous landscaping and/or maintenance experience is preferred.
• Candidates must be 18 or older with a valid IL Driver’s License, reliable transportation to and from work. Familiarity with the Glen Ellyn area is a plus!
• General knowledge and use of hand and power tools as well as gasoline and electric powered equipment is preferred.
• Must be in good physical condition to perform manual labor in various weather conditions including high heat/humidity and cold.
• Strong sense of safety with effective communication skills and a desire to provide quality customer service are essential.
• Ability to work well independently and as a member on a crew.
• Candidates will need to pass background check following an offer of employment.
