City of Round Rock is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker to maintain parks, athletic fields, and facilities. Responsibilities include groundskeeping, irrigation checks, equipment operation, and assisting at the Brush Recycling Center; we support special events and customer service.

A driver license is required. Starting pay is based on experience; the role requires a high school diploma or GED and six months of general labor experience.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Six months experience in general labor.
• Current Texas Class C driver license or the ability to obtain prior to employment.
• May require additional certification or licenses depending on assigned area.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain grounds by mowing, edging, and trimming park areas; remove weeds and trim flower beds; perform irrigation checks and repairs; replace fences; repair playground structures and clean trails.
• Maintain athletic fields by trimming fields; ensure watering; set bases and shave infields; aerate and apply chemicals for weeds and pests.
• Perform daily rounds of facilities to pick up trash, empty cans and inspect areas for damage/vandalism.
• Maintain facilities including painting/repairing/replacing.
• Provide maintenance and repair for facilities and park amenities; shelters, buildings, playgrounds, etc.
• Assist in the recycling center by performing customer service duties.
• Operate heavy equipment to process and grind mulch.
• Completes paperwork associated with customer service and revenue at BRC.
• Supports special events by setting up, tearing down and other duties.
