Job summary

The Fresno County Department of Public Works and Planning is seeking a Parks Groundskeeper to maintain County parks, grounds around Library facilities, disposal sites, recreational facilities, scenic drives, and other grounds surrounding County buildings. Some assignments may be at the American Avenue Disposal Site in Kerman, approx.

23 miles west of Fresno; travel is not reimbursed. Requires 1 year of relevant experience and a valid Class C driver’s license.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time work experience maintaining parks/grounds/landscaping or farming that included planting, irrigating, and fertilizing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain County parks, grounds surrounding County Library facilities, disposal sites, recreational facilities, scenic drives, and other grounds surrounding County buildings.
• Assist at the American Avenue Disposal Site in Kerman and perform seasonal landscape maintenance at closed County disposal sites.
