Job summary

The Town of Apex is seeking a landscape and grounds maintenance worker to care for parks and greenways in Apex, NC. You will perform mowing, trimming, edging, spraying, debris removal, and basic turf tasks under supervision.

Typical duties include equipment checks, minor repairs, event setup, and participation in storm cleanup. A HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Ability to operate and maintain park grounds equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, spraying, and debris removal to beautify parks and greenways.
• Follow turf management guidelines; participate in seeding, fertilizing, irrigation, mulching, aeration, and sodding.
• Operate and perform minor maintenance on equipment; report issues to supervisor.
• Assist with event setups and storm cleanup as needed.
