Job summary

Santaquin City is accepting applications for a Full-time Parks & Grounds Maintenance I or II. This position performs a variety of entry level to working level field maintenance duties across city parks, trails, cemetery, and facilities.

The role supports landscaped areas throughout the City. Parks & Grounds Maintenance I requires HS graduation, a valid Utah Driver's License and the ability to obtain a Utah CDL Class B within 1 year.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain Utah CDL Class B within 1 year of hire
• Live within 30 minutes travel time from Santaquin and be available for weekends/holidays/on-call/standby/emergency call

Responsibilities

• Maintenance duties across parks, park strips, detention basins, cemetery, trails, fields and facilities
• Operate and maintain landscaping and grounds equipment as assigned
• Assist with seasonal tasks and special programs as needed

PARKS & GROUND MAINTENANCE I or II

SANTAQUIN CITY is accepting applications for a Full-time Parks & Grounds Maintenance I or II. This position performs a variety of entry level to working level skilled field maintenance duties associated with maintenance of parks, parks strips, detention basins, cemetery, trails, various fields and facilities used for sponsored recreational programs and other landscaped areas throughout the City.

Parks & Grounds Maintenance I - Graduation from high school; sufficient experience to demonstrate an aptitude to perform the above-related duties. Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License, required to obtain a Utah Commercial Driver's License, class B (CDL) within 1 year of hire date. Must live within 30 minutes travel time from Santaquin and be available and willing to work weekends, holiday, on-call, standby and emergency call. Salary Range – $19.89 to $28.30 per hour. Starting wage depends on qualifications & experience.

Parks & Grounds Maintenance II - Graduation from high school; two (2) years of experience in landscaping maintenance or related duties. Must possess a valid Utah Commercia Driver's License, class B (CDL). Must possess a Utah State Pesticide Applicators License. Must live within 30 minutes travel time from Santaquin and be available and willing to work weekends, holiday, on-call, standby and emergency call. Salary Range – $20.97 to $29.88 per hour. Starting wage depends on qualifications.
