City Of Cheyenne is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support Parks Greenway operations. The role involves semi-skilled to skilled construction, maintenance, and equipment operation in City Parks, including grounds upkeep and on-call duties.

The position is non-exempt with a salary range of $18.43–$25.80 per hour, reflecting full-time hours and weekend/on-call responsibilities. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and two years of field maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of general construction, maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of safety practices in outdoor park environments.
• Ability to operate diverse tools and light/heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and work in varying weather.

Responsabilités

• Operate tools and heavy equipment for park maintenance.
• Prepare and organize materials for assigned jobs.
• Perform grounds maintenance: mow, plant care, sod, pesticides, etc.
• Maintain athletic facilities: field prep, dugouts, infields, etc.
• Collect trash, clean restrooms, and keep areas aesthetically pleasing.
• Assist with playground maintenance and special events.
• Respond to public inquiries and on-call duties.
