Job summary

City of Corinth is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform semiskilled labor across parks, facilities, and grounds. You will follow safety rules, perform repairs, and operate basic equipment to keep City properties clean and well-maintained.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of landscaping/maintenance experience. A valid Texas driver’s license is required with opportunities for overtime and emergency response duties.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of landscaping and maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate basic tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

  • Perform semiskilled labor to maintain parks, facilities, grounds, playgrounds, sports fields, and City buildings.
  • Inspect parks and facilities for damage and hazards; perform repairs to maintain appearance and safety.
  • Maintain right-of-way, fields, landscaping, and grounds; sweep, clean, and load materials as needed.
  • Operate trucks and equipment safely; assist with event setups and teardown as directed.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment and small tools; report mechanical issues.
  • Respond to emergency cleaning and maintenance as required.
  • Enforce City rules and report unsafe acts, conditions, and injuries.
  • Trains others and cross-trains on maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Respond outside normal hours for special events and emergencies.
  • Safeguard City integrity, follow rules, and uphold public trust.
