Job summary

The City of Belton, Missouri, Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a part-time staff member to assist with planning and executing recreational sports activities and concessions. The role requires evening and weekend shifts and involves supporting leagues, events, and park operations.

You will help with program delivery, concessions, and park safety, while learning department procedures and customer service best practices.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Experience handling money and handling food preferred.
• Must have a good working knowledge of the rules of volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, and flag football.

Responsibilities

• Assists with recreation programs, concessions, classes and events.
• Concessions work including food prep, cash register, cleaning, and customer service.
• Ensures cleanliness and safety of Markey and Memorial parks for league games and tournaments.
• Opens and readies facilities for use and secures them afterward.
• Participates in staff trainings and meetings.
