Job summary

The City of Waynesboro is seeking a full-time Parks Custodian for its Parks and Recreation Department. Responsibilities include emptying trash, maintaining park restrooms, performing basic maintenance repairs, and assisting with snow removal as needed.

Minimum qualifications include general custodial knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work well with others. Weekend work may be required during the season.

• Perform basic maintenance repairs to include replacing light bulbs, removing graffiti, painting, etc.
• Assist snow removal as needed.
• Assist maintenance department as needed.
• Seasonal weekend work required.

Minimum Qualifications

• General custodial and basic facilities maintenance knowledge.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the 10th grade.
• Must be dependable and able to maintain excellent working relationships with coworkers and the public.
