Job summary

IncrediCare in Annandale, Virginia is seeking a compassionate Care Professional with Parkinson's experience to support a home-based client. The role requires patience, attentiveness, and the ability to follow an individualized care plan while promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, personal care, light housekeeping, and coordinating with nurses and family.

Qualifications

• Two years of CNA experience with at least one year in memory care.
• Current CPR certification.
• Adheres to health and safety standards including CDC guidance for COVID-19.
• Respectful, compassionate with good bedside manner.
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Willingness to provide housekeeping and cooking with dietary awareness.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Engage in activities to stimulate mind and spirit.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility inside and outside the home.
• Support personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with prescribed physical therapy and exercises.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients as needed.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Collect health information from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family.
• Report unusual incidents to care team.
• Respond quickly in emergencies.
• Maintain cleanliness of frequently touched areas.
