Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Rock Steady Boxing Program Director to lead the program for residents with Parkinson's disease. You will manage all operations, develop curricula, coordinate schedules, and build partnerships with medical and community groups to promote PD fitness programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field preferred or a minimum of two years of industry related work experience.
• Willing to attend a Rock Steady Boxing coaches certification training (virtual or in person).
• Knowledge of physical and cognitive disabilities; knowledge of PD preferred.
• Certifications in personal training and/or exercise sport science preferred.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop level-specific curriculums focused on a specific sequence of activities: breathing techniques, proper stretching, warm-up, balance challenges, voice activation, boxing-specific circuit training, hydration, cool-down.
• Create and demonstrate workout activities to local groups to promote RSB in your community.
• Administer required assessments and track boxer progress within recommended timeframes.
• Develop virtual and in-person class schedules to accommodate the needs of the boxers.
• Identify and contact local PD programs offering services to residents with PD.
• Contact and develop relationships with local groups to promote Rock Steady Boxing.
• Identify articles, seminars, and online classes on PD and related conditions.
• Learn progression of PD and related medications; continue education via workshops.
• Track participation for classes and in facility overall.
• Prepare the gym before each class; set up equipment and assist boxers.
• Manage inventory and replenish as needed.
• Oversee volunteers and students during visits.
• Attend RSB events and community events for promotion.
• Partner with Regional Sales Director to create a marketing strategy for RSB.
• Review and resolve complaints related to RSB; communicate actions to leadership.
• Ensure clean and safe operating conditions; maintain equipment.
• Perform other job-related duties.
