Job summary

The Rock Steady Boxing Program Director at The Goodman Group, LLC oversees all operations of the Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) program for residents with Parkinson’s disease, driving program success within the community and organization.

Responsibilities include developing curriculums, coordinating schedules, and cultivating partnerships with PD-related programs and clinicians, while ensuring safety and compliance in a fitness setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or two years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to attend Rock Steady Boxing coaches certification (virtual or in person).
• Knowledge of physical and cognitive disabilities; PD knowledge preferred.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop level-specific curriculums focused on pacing and progression for PD boxing.
• Create and demonstrate workout activities to local groups to promote RSB.
• Administer assessments and track boxer progress within set timeframes.
• Develop virtual and in-person class schedules to accommodate boxers.
• Identify local PD programs and providers to collaborate with.
• Build relationships with local groups and distribute promotional materials.
• Research articles, seminars, and online classes on PD for ongoing education.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the facility and equipment.
