Job Description
The Parkinson's Disease (PD) Account Executive (AE) is responsible for maximizing business opportunities with approved on-market products (drug-device combination) for the Parkinson's Franchise. The PD AE will develop and maintain strategic business relationships with accounts through interactions with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, Advanced Practice Providers, Healthcare Professionals, nurses, executive personnel, department managers, and support staff. The focus will be on increasing education on product benefits/risks, awareness of therapeutic gaps, developing new business, expanding current business, maximizing resource utilization, and increasing sales to meet sales targets for the Parkinson's product portfolio. The role also involves building and maintaining compliant relationships with Parkinson's advocacy groups and support organizations.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective on-label scientific presentations and sales calls using approved data to highlight product benefits and risks, and increase awareness.
  • Understand customer needs, build relationships, and partner with internal teams to identify and implement appropriate strategies.
  • Serve as the lead US Commercial contact with targeted accounts in the assigned geography, addressing customer and patient needs through expert knowledge of AbbVie's environment of care approach.
  • Create and execute strategic plans for targeted accounts, monitor sales progress, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Participate in local neurology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events to build relationships and educate on products, ensuring all discussions are compliant and on-label.
  • Develop business strategies and territory plans based on account and geographical dynamics, aligning resources accordingly.
  • Stay current on clinical, market, and payer developments related to Parkinson's Disease.
  • Complete all required training and adhere to company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Meet healthcare industry credentialing requirements for facility access, which may include background checks, immunizations, etc.
  • Represent AbbVie as a partner of choice in the Parkinson's and Neuroscience space with healthcare professionals and patient organizations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Proven top performer with successful sales in challenging markets
  • Strong business acumen, accountability, and multitasking skills
  • Advanced sales and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Experience navigating complex healthcare environments (IDNs, hospitals, academic institutions, large practices)
  • High patient-centricity and comfort with compliant patient interactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Parkinson's, neuroscience, or specialty pharma account management
  • Experience with specialty pharmacy products, medical devices, or medication delivery systems
  • Pharma leadership or training experience
  • Experience with product launches and advocacy partnerships
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Information

  • Salary range: $106,500 - $202,500, based on location and experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package including PTO, insurance, 401(k)
