The University of North Georgia is seeking a Parking/Transportation Attendant- Institutional Student Worker to operate UNG Shuttle buses and a License Plate Recognition vehicle on campus in Gainesville. A valid Georgia driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

This part-time, temporary role supports campus transportation and parking operations and requires strong customer service and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
• Must have a Valid GA Driver's License.
• Excellent driving skills and ability to operate campus shuttle and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive shuttle vehicle to transport students between loading sites and campus locations.
• Adhere to safety rules for transporting passengers at all times.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and in good condition; perform daily inspections and report issues.
• Operate License Plate Recognition system and issue parking tickets as needed.
• Assist students with vehicle unlocks and battery boosts.

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a parking and transportation attendant in the office of Auxiliary Services. This position will be responsible for driving the UNG Shuttle bus to transport students in a safe and effective manner to on and off campus sites. Must have a valid Georgia driver's license with an exceptional driving record. This position will also include driving our License Plate Recognition vehicle for issuing parking tickets and lot utilization scanning. It requires excellent driving skills, computer skills, and great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Driving shuttle vehicle to transport students from loading site(s) off main campus to designated locations on campus.
• Making sure that all safety rules and regulations for transporting passengers are adhered to at all times during transportation
• Responsible for making sure vehicles are clean and in good working condition before transporting passengers. Conduct vehicle inspections each day and notify supervisor of any issues or concerns.
• Responsible for operating the License Plate Recognition software system/vehicle and the issuance of parking tickets and lot utilization scanning.
• Assisting students with vehicle unlocks and battery boosts
