Job summary

The City of Columbia seeks a dedicated professional to support Parking Services and economic development efforts in Columbia, SC. You will liaise with business owners, city departments, and local partners to promote parking programs and resources.

Responsibilities include managing online information, executing outreach campaigns, and coordinating with stakeholders to address parking challenges and opportunities across the city.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, economics, finance, marketing, or closely related field.
• Some relevant administrative experience in parking, municipal government, or economic development with stakeholder engagement.
• Experience supporting public outreach, communications, or marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between business owners, city departments, and parking-related services.
• Update Parking Services information on City websites and digital platforms.
• Develop and maintain Parking Services social media communications and public outreach.
• Coordinate with local entrepreneurs to inform them about parking programs and resources.
• Collaborate with partners like City Center Partnership and Five Points Association on economic development where parking is key.
• Act as day-to-day contact for parking information for existing and prospective businesses.
