Job summary

Meijer Great Lakes is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks tied to service, product handling and customer service. This role emphasizes delivering above-and-beyond customer service through interaction with customers and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cart operations and moving carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, entrances, check lanes and parking areas.
• Support multiple departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
