A leading company seeks a Parking & Lot Attendant to manage daily operations in support of their Transportation Motor Pool mission. Key responsibilities include issuing vehicles, maintaining inventory, and ensuring security of the lot. Candidates should possess a High School Diploma and at least two years of related experience, along with a valid driver's license. This role requires physical activity and adherence to safety protocols.
Overview The Parking & Lot Attendant is responsible for daily operational activities in the parking lot/facility in support of the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) mission. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Operates daily activities of the motor pool lot; issues and receives vehicles. May be required to move and/or park vehicles. Responsible for controlling and accounting for GSA vehicles and keys; responsible for policing entire compound; ensures vehicle windows are closed, controls authorized entry and use of lot. Ensures that all vehicles parked in the TMP vehicle lot are locked and secured in accourdance with IAW AR-58-1 and TM 38-600. Conducts periodic inventory of vehicles, containers, and other various equipment to provide accountability. Operates and maintains wash rack and equipment. Prepares & maintains documents for issue, return, and receipt of vehicles, storage containers, and other various equipment as required. Refers parking related issues arising within the facility to appropriate authorites for administrative actions. Other duties may be assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives. Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements to include working overtime, weekends, flexible hours and holidays. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Some work will be performed indoors in a temperature-controlled office environment with exposure to electronic office equipment. Some work will be performed in conditions of inclement weather, extreme heat and cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand and dust, and working in confined spaces and at heights. May be required to wear face covering over mouth and nose. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Must be able to lift at lest 50 pounds and required to wear Personal Protective Safety Gear, such as face mask (covering the nose and mouth), a safety vest, safety shoes, and gloves in required areas. Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine and printer. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: High Schoo Diploma or equivalent. SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to pass the standard background check. EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience working as a Parking & Lot Attendant or in a related position, preferred. Must have a vaild state drivers license with no restrictions. Other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives. SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A Must be able to work under general guidance of the TMP Supervisor.
