Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Parking Lot Attendant to support customers with friendly service, manage carts, and keep the lot tidy. Training is provided; no experience is required and you must be at least 16 years old. Shifts start as early as 6am and run until midnight, with options for 4, 6, or 8-hour blocks.

You will work across departments and help with trash collection, snow removal, and basic cleaning, while delivering a positive shopping experience for our guests across all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service is essential to guide customers effectively.
• Warm, persuasive personality to assist customers with product choices.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods with stamina.
• Must be highly organized with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve shopping carts from outside the store and return them inside.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, store entrance, lanes and parking areas.
• Assist multiple departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
