Job summary

Brighton Resort is looking for a Parking Ambassador to welcome guests and manage arrival operations at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon. You will help direct traffic, ensure safety, and maximize lot capacity while delivering friendly service.

In this role you’ll direct vehicles, answer questions about mountain conditions, assist guests to bus stops, and maintain walkways during alpine winter conditions. Shift hours are early mornings, weekends, and holidays with dynamic coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods in alpine winter conditions (snow, wind, ice, sub-zero temperatures).
• Ability to lift, push, or carry traffic barriers and signs weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor in a high-volume environment.
• Requires open availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays during peak ski season; shifts are dynamic and may extend or shorten.

Responsibilities

• Canyon Traffic Control: Direct arriving and departing vehicles safely through the main lot, loops, and snow banks using precise hand signals and traffic barriers.
• Resort Information: Warmly greet guests, answer questions regarding mountain conditions or resort layout, and provide clear directions.
• UTA Ski Bus Support: Ensure designated transit lanes remain clear of personal vehicles and assist guests with directions to the UTA Ski Bus stops.
• Safety Maintenance: Position traffic cones, clear snow or ice from critical guest walkways, and report hazards to the mountain operations team.

This critical role ensures smooth traffic flow, upholds mountain safety, and maximizes lot capacity while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Requires open availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays during peak ski season. Scheduled hours are highly dynamic and subject to change based on resort visitation volumes, snowfall, and operational coverage needs. Applicants must be comfortable with shift extensions during peak periods as well as hours being cut or shortened during slower timeframe
