Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Parking Garage Porter/Ambassador in Austin to maintain clean parking facilities and ensure smooth traffic flow. You will greet customers, direct vehicles, process payments, and support safety and maintenance tasks during a Monday–Friday 6am–2pm schedule.

The role emphasizes reliable teamwork, adherence to safety and quality standards, and professional customer service in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• English sufficient for daily communication and safety directions.
• HD or equivalent preferred for minimum qualification.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and reliability.
• Dependable with ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of parking garages, including ramps, decks, stairwells, elevators, and surrounding areas.
• Sweep, mop, power wash, and remove debris per ABM standards.
• Remove trash and hazardous materials; replace liners.
• Clean up oil spills and stains with proper equipment and cleaners.
• Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security concerns to supervisor.
• Ensure signage, payment machines, and access points are clean and presentable.
• Support preventive maintenance activities with site management.
• Follow ABM safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and PPE requirements.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service to parkers and clients.
• Greet customers and direct vehicles to available spaces.
• Issue tickets or tags and process payments accurately.
• Monitor parking areas for safety, security, and compliance.
• Assist customers with inquiries, directions, and minor vehicle issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and report hazards or equipment malfunctions.
• Assist with traffic control during peak hours or events.
• Participate in special projects or tasks as assigned.
