The Parking Enforcement Officer position is in the Division of Facilities Planning & Management’s (FP&M) within the Department of Transportation Services. The Parking Enforcement Officer plays a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and well-regulated parking operations across the UW–Madison campus. This position ensures compliance with campus parking policies, supports daily parking operations, and provides guidance to students, staff, and visitors regarding available parking options. This role will monitor parking lots and structures to ensure permit holders can access their designated areas without obstruction. They also conduct stall counts and occupancy checks, which support accurate permit allocation and data-driven decision-making by the permits team. Parking Enforcement Officers may assist with posting or bagging reserved stalls, assisting with construction-related parking adjustments, and completing a variety of operational tasks that arise throughout the day. Successful candidates can shift quickly, show flexibility and strong situational awareness, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities to meet the needs of Campus.
Ongoing/Renewable Full-Time: 100% FTE Hours generally scheduled onsite 7:00AM to 3:30PM Wednesday through Sunday. Occasional nights, weekends and holidays may be required for this position.
The minimum rate for this position is $21.00, but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Division of Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M), Transportation Services, Field Services Administration Transportation Services is responsible for the coordination and administration of all transportation-related services for the UW campus community. The primary functions of Transportation Services include the sale/management of parking permits, special event coordination, maintenance and enforcement, construction coordination, lot and booth operations, citation payments and appeals, information technology, financial, transportation planning, and development of multimodal options.
The Clery Act defines a Campus Security Authority any individual(s) who have responsibility for campus security, but who do not constitute a campus police department or security department. CSAs are required to report any Clery Crimes, and the CSA required training can be found at https://hr.wisc.edu/professional-development/courses/campus-security-authorities/. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations.
The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
