Parking Attendant

The Town of Vail, Colorado, the premier mountain community and world‑renowned resort destination, is seeking energetic and service‑minded professionals to join our Parking Team full‑time.

As a Parking Attendant, you will be at the heart of the guest experience, greeting visitors with a smile, assisting with parking and traffic flow, maintaining clean and safe facilities, and ensuring every guest’s day in Vail starts and ends on a positive note.

Responsibilities:

  • Be approachable, friendly, and accessible to guests, creating a welcoming first impression and delivering outstanding service.
  • Accurately collect parking fees with professionalism and a smile.
  • Utilize software systems to assist guests, troubleshoot equipment issues, and monitor traffic flow.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and logs.
  • Provide courteous assistance to customers and respond to general inquiries with a positive, helpful attitude.
  • Perform traffic control duties to ensure safe and efficient vehicle and pedestrian movement.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest and citizen questions, concerns, and complaints to exceed service expectations.
  • Monitor radio traffic and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management as needed.
  • Audit vehicles and monitor parking facilities for space availability, rule compliance, and safety concerns.
  • Maintain parking areas by performing light maintenance such as sweeping, trash collection, cleaning, and basic equipment upkeep.
  • Assist with guest communication by updating signage and providing accurate parking and directional information.
  • Safely operate Town of Vail vehicles as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and departmental goals.

This position is exposed to car emissions, dust, fumes, and adverse weather conditions.

Shifts / Schedules

Schedule may include day shifts, overnight shifts, and holidays.

Skills / Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Previous cashiering experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
Compensation

Hiring Range: $23.58–$29.24 per hour (starting at $23.58 per hour).
