Job Title: Bus Person
Responsible for ensuring that supplies and equipment are stocked and ready for service. Assists servers with guest satisfaction in all ways necessary. Other duties as required.
Job Functions:
- Clean and reset tables for service according to department manual standard.
- Adhere to LPM grooming/ service standards and policies.
- Ensure all dirty China, silver, glasses, etc., go to the dishwasher and are broken down accordingly.
- Replenish all service items: silverware, glassware, China, linen, general supplies, food as needed.
- Ensure proper storage of all service items.
- Ensure that cream, water, and juice service is constantly replenished during the service.
- Stock jam, butter, and cream cheese for the next service period.
- Set up breadbasket for the next service period.
- Assist servers in serving guests.
- Assist servers in pre-bussing tables.
- Serve and replenish water upon guest request.
- Assist other bus persons when needed.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- 6 months to one-year experience as a bus person or kitchen helper, providing the skills required for this position.
- Fluent in English; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Essential:
- Knowledge of American table service.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Other Physical Abilities:
- Able to bend, lift, push, pull, and carry in excess of 50 pounds.
- Able to walk and stand for long periods.
Problem Solving:
- Handle pressure, interact well with people, work quickly and efficiently while remaining motivated and gracious.
Desirable:
- Fluency in another language.
Salary Range:
$17.44 - $23.25 per hour
