Job summary

Alaska State Parks in Delta Junction is seeking a Park Technician 1 to oversee daily park and facility operations across trails, campgrounds, cabins, and related amenities. The role includes supervising Alaska Conservation Corps workers who maintain facilities and assist with safety and resource management.

The incumbent will work from the Delta area, coordinating with Fairbanks staff, and operate year-round in outdoor settings, with driving and equipment use required.

Qualifications

• Competency-based minimum qualifications are used for this job class.
• Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in operations and customer service for park management.
• Special note: Positions require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily park and facility operations including trails, trailheads, campgrounds, cabins, pavilions, outhouses, docks, fishing platforms and fee stations.
• Trains and directs Alaska Conservation Corps employees and volunteers who maintain park facilities; supports maintenance, safety, recreation and resource management.
