Orange County Government’s Parks and Recreation division is seeking a Park Maintenance Worker to plan, organize, and facilitate recreational activities while preparing facilities for public use. You will guide part-time staff, interns, and volunteers, and ensure safe, welcoming environments across multiple parks and fields.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree and two years in parks and recreation or an equivalent combination.

Responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating recreational activities and programs for people of all ages, as well as the preparation of outdoor/indoor park facilities and spaces for public use. This position ensures that visitors have opportunities for recreation in a safe and inviting environment when utilizing Orange County Parks and Recreation facilities. Responsible for guiding and instructing part-time employees, subordinate team members, and volunteers. Work is performed under the supervision of Site Supervisor or designated supervisor. Performance is reviewed through work-in-progress, conferences and results achieved.
Candidates selected for this position must be able to work evenings and weekends as well as perform their job duties in all weather conditions. This position is not eligible for remote-work

Educational Requirements
