Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Recreation Assistant in Dayton, OH to support the Recreation program at Kroc Park. You will assist in coordinating facilities, events, classes, rentals and leagues, and ensure safe, clean environments for participants.

You will work with the Fitness and Recreation Manager, and may cover evening and weekend shifts for sports programs. A positive attitude and strong English communication are essential to engage diverse participants and uphold the mission.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise programs at Kroc Park, including facilities, events, classes, rentals, leagues and tournaments.
• Set up and tear down of equipment and ensure facilities remain clean and stocked.
• Act as on-site coordinator for issues with program members, parents, or opposing teams.
• Maintain timeliness of fields and courts; record match results and stats; enforce rules and officiate ceremonies.
